Johnny (Johnnie) Dean Williams, 27, was reported missing by his wife on September 18th, 1972 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She last saw him September 15th at the hospital. She had just given birth to their daughter. He left that evening with $800 in cash on him and headed out to a club for the night. She called the club around midnight looking for Johnny but he wasn’t there.
On September 24th, 1972, his body was found by a farmer working his fields, east of 1800 N. Mingo in Tulsa. He’d been shot between the eyes and beaten. Police found he had no money on him and his pockets were inside out. His vehicle was found by investigators the next day.
Johnny was originally from Longview, Texas. In addition to his wife and daughter, he left behind a son and a large extended family. He sold cars in the Tulsa area. He and his wife were married in 1969.
