Nineteen year old Joannie Goodwin was found in Bird Creek near the Pawhuska Light Plant on September 29, 1996. She had been bound with electrical wire, weighted with blocks, tied to a tree and shot in the stomach. The television show “Cold Justice” featured Joannie’s case, and seemed to make some headway, even leading to an arrest. However, in 2019 the charges against the suspect were dropped.
