Josephine Gonzales, 32, was last seen alive on January 6, 1984 in Houston, Texas. A few days later on January 9, 1984, she was discovered murdered in Geary, Oklahoma.

On the night of her disappearance, she was seen leaving a Houston club with two unidentified men. Josephine worked as a waitress at this club.

The cause of death was determined to be gunshot wounds to the head. She was identified on February 24, 1984, by her brother, who positively identified her from photographs sent to law enforcement in Texas. After his initial identification, her identity was confirmed again through fingerprints.

Authorities were actively pursuing leads related to a truck driver(s), believed to be a possible suspect, who was last seen leaving the Houston bar with Josephine. Despite efforts to locate the unidentified men, Josephine’s case remains unsolved.
