The next day, his red 1987 Ford Ranger pickup truck was discovered wrecked in a rural area near Coleman Road in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, having collided with a tree.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a young white male and two white females exiting the vehicle. According to the witness, they accepted a ride from a farmer to Weleetka, Oklahoma. Subsequently, the farmer, when interviewed by law enforcement, stated that the individuals he assisted did not match Jackie’s description. There is no indication that Jackie sold or lent his truck to anyone after his disappearance and there were no signs of foul play within the vehicle.
