Carla Mae Morgan Hickman, 45, was a real estate agent for the Rooney Co. and the mother of three in April of 1978. She had made arrangements to pick up a potential male buyer at a downtown bus station and take him to the house he was interested in on April 3rd, 1978. When the owner returned home they found Carla’s body. She had been stabbed to death.

Police were looking for a man seen getting into Carla’s car in the downtown area of Tulsa at the time. He was wearing a red baseball cap, a plaid shirt and grey slacks. Another unknown subject police were looking at was described as a white male, 6’0, 170 lbs with short black hair and a mustache. Two men in Georgia were later interviewed in Carla’s murder but no connections were found. No other suspects have been named.

Other female real estate agents in the Tulsa area were raped and attacked in the months before and after. It’s unknown if the cases are related or not.
