24-year-old Ronald Dean Woolridge, pictured here during his time at Norman High School, was found murdered on February 1st, 1981 in Norman, Oklahoma. His case remains unsolved but open.
At 7:15 am the Norman Fire Department was called about a fire at 1518 E. Boyd. After the fire was put out the body of Ronald Woolridge was discovered. Ronald did not die in the fire – he had been shot in the head execution-style. It was found that several guns were missing from Ronald’s house, along with a U-Haul that also had guns inside. The U-Haul was later found abandoned in rural northeast Norman.
Through investigation it was found that Ronald was heavily involved with drug traffickers and had connections in both Texas and California. The guns that were stolen were never recovered.
Ronald was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 31st, 1956. He grew up in Norman and attended Norman High School. Ronald went on to serve in the Navy from 1973-1976. He attended Oscar Rose Junior College at the time.
