On May 27th, 1999, the body of Rodolfo “Rudi” E Valdivia was discovered by a family walking to Beaver Lake to fish in Adair County, Oklahoma. His case remains open and unsolved.
Rudi left his home around May 22nd, 1999 to go to Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Ok to register some of his horses. He was a successful race horse trainer. Rudi, however, never made it back home. Authorities found his body inside his 1997 white Ford extended-cab truck near Nellie Mays and Greasy School Road, west of Hwy 59. His body was closer to the passenger side than the driver’s side. Police believe that someone killed Rudi elsewhere, placed him in his truck, and then drove the vehicle to a rural area. Though Rudi’s wallet was missing his cell phone and watch were still inside the truck. Authorities determined that multiple gunshot wounds caused his death. Rudi sometimes picked up hitchhikers. Law enforcement had a suspect at one time but lacked the evidence needed to charge the suspect.
Rudi was born April 30th, 1965 in Mexico to Guillerma and Luz Marie Valdivia. He had three sisters and four brothers. He married his wife Jodi Valdivia and fathered three daughters. His loved ones miss Rudi.
