On March 29, 1989 the 17th month old victim, Kasey Marie Wald, and her mother were discovered deceased inside their burning apartment at Woodcreek Apartment complex located at 208 N. 112th E. avenue #315. The victim’s mother Carol Pittman’s was initially believed to have died from smoke inhalation. It was later determined that she died from strangulation.
