Joyce Yolanda Davenport was found murdered in Oklahoma City on April 23, 2007. She was thirty-eight years old.

After not being able to get in touch with Joyce, a family member went to her northwest Oklahoma City apartment to check on her, when there wasn’t an answer to their repeated knocks at the door, they left only to return the next morning. When still no one answered the door, her family approached the manager of the complex who entered the apartment at about ten am, when they went inside they found Joyce dead.

The medical examiner would determine that Joyce had died via blunt force trauma to her head. Very little about Joyce or her murder was ever discussed in the media. As far as I can determine, her case is still unsolved and there have been no viable persons of interest or motives named in the case.
