JoAnn Marie Pratt

JoAnn Marie Pratt

Date Found: June 20, 1981

Location: Pontotoc, Oklahoma

Investigating Agency:

Twenty year old JoAnn Marie Pratt went missing from her Ada home on June 10, 1981. She disappeared after having made a phone call from Lefty’s Truck Stop to a friend in Pauls Valley asking to be picked up and stated she was leaving her husband. Lefty’s Truck Stop was near and possibly in front of the mobile home Joann and her husband lived in. The friend apparently never picked Joann up and had an established alibi for the night she disappeared, as he was thirty miles away. On June 20th, 1981 Joann’s remains would be found in a rural creek in eastern Pontotoc County. She was naked and heavily decomposed. Despite believing Joann’s husband had something to do with her disappearance and murder, he passed two different polygraphs. No one has ever been charged in the murder of Joann.
