Doris Virginia Jones was murdered on August 4th, 1970 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The mother of three’s case remains open and unsolved.

Doris, 46, returned to her home on Tuesday, August 4th, in the morning covered in bruises. She told her friend Roland Young that she’d been in a fight. Roland decided Doris needed an ambulance and left the apartment at 1113 1/2 S. Main St. to call one. When Roland returned to the apartment Doris was dead. An autopsy found that she’d been killed by a blow to the head.

Doris was born December 14th, 1923 in Denver, Colorado. She grew up with 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Doris had been married three times previously and her maiden name was Royster.
