(From The Oklahoman) WATONGA Suspect sought in man’s disappearance
Authorities have identified a suspect wanted in the disappearance of an Enid man six months ago.
Michael Wayne Wood, 29, of Newalla is suspected by police of being involved in the disappearance of Donovan Quay Nimmo, 29, of Enid. According to Wood’s girlfriend, who spoke with investigators, police believe that Nimmo is dead. Specifically, she reported that someone had tied Nimmo with an electric cord and subsequently dumped him from a bridge in Canadian County. Police believe Nimmo is dead, but don’t know when or how he died.
On March 24, authorities arrested Jennifer Marie Durbin, 27, of Watonga, who is Wood’s girlfriend, for possessing a firearm while on felony probation. The search warrant affidavit, filed on July 12, details the arrest. Following her arrest, she informed Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents that she and Wood had coaxed Nimmo to her residence in Watonga on January 19.
The affidavit states that the two individuals assaulted Nimmo. Nimmo was then tied with an electrical cord, placed into the trunk of his car, wrapped in a burlap sack and a bedsheet, and finally dumped from a bridge.
A consent search of Durbin’s former residence in Watonga on March 15 revealed blood and evidence of attempted evidence destruction, the affidavit states. Following this, authorities searched Nimmo’s car, which they had found on a dirt road southeast of Watonga. During this search, they discovered a rag with blood and also found blood on the outside of the car.
