Twenty-eight year old Christie Leigh Ward was found murdered on September 4, 1988. She was last seen at Classic’s Bar in Tulsa on September 3rd. Christie was found by two teenagers walking alongside the road on East 51st Street in Tulsa. She was partially clothed with her hands bound behind her back. She had been sexually assaulted, shot, beaten, and possibly strangled. Her vehicle was later found on East 61st Street in the parking lot of Silver Springs Apartments. The vehicle was found burning.
