Angela “Sam” Maynahonah Rodriguez was found murdered in Carter County, Oklahoma on March 29th, 2012. She was forty years old.
The last known place where Angela, who was known as Sam, was seen was at Glen’s Lounge on SW 11th St. in Lawton. She would later be found under a bridge and in heavy brush some sixty miles away from Lawton in Fox, Oklahoma. She had been missing for approximately two weeks. Her cause of death was sharp and blunt force trauma to the head. Sam was identified via palm prints and tattoos.
Sam’s family continues to hold vigils, begging for more publicity for her case in order to possibly drum up more leads. So far, their efforts have been unsuccessful.
The last time Sam saw her mother, she had mentioned possibly moving back to Oklahoma City. Unfortunately she never got that chance. Her family misses her deeply, and just wants answers for who took Sam away from them. Her mother would pass away not knowing who killed her daughter.
Angela “Sam” Maynahonah Rodriguez was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on July 13th, 1971. She was raised in the Meers area and attended Elgin Public Schools. Sam loved powwows as a child and was proud to be of the Comanche Nation. She was an excellent cook and loved playing card games and reading. Sam leaves behind two children.
