Alan also has a scar on his wrist, uncertain if right or left, from cut on when he was 2 years old. He also has a cleft in his chin, a dimple on his left cheek, some freckles, is right handed, and has a surgically repaired septum.

After graduating from Oklahoma State University, 22-year-old Alan Wayne Soper decided to travel the United States.

Alan Soper shared with his parents that he was working for truck drivers in exchange for riding with them. The last time Alan spoke to his family was June 7th, 1974. He called from Sacramento, California.

Three years later his wallet and clothing were found in Needles, California. Needles is 549 miles from Sacramento.

Alan has brown hair and blue eyes. He has a surgically repaired septum, is 5’11 and 160 lbs, and DNA is available.

Unfortunately, the clothes and wallet were lost and DNA testing was not performed on them.

Alan was close to his family and girlfriend at the time and had no history of disappearing for any length of time. His family is still actively searching for him.
