Denise Yvette Brown was killed in a drive-by shooting on November 21st, 2001 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 35 at the time.

At 9 pm on the night of November 21st shots rang out at 2630 N. Rockford, a house known for drug use. Four other people were inside the home at the time but only one other person was injured. That person survived but Denise had not. She was shot in the head and killed instantly. Five minutes prior to that shooting another had happened in the 2600 block of N. Quincy Avenue. The addresses are only blocks apart.

A suspect, Terrell Mayfield, was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder but charges were dropped in early 2002. The case has been cold since.
