Michael Ray Cole was reported missing by his mother on May 9, 1987, after his employer notified her of his absence from work starting May 5. His truck was located on May 9 at noon, partially in a ditch about one mile south and one mile west of the intersection of OK 51-B and OK 104.

Following the discovery of his truck, family members initiated a search for Michael. Tragically, his body was found on May 11, 1987, in a ditch near Stones Corner, approximately two miles south and half a mile west of the same intersection.

The circumstances surrounding his disappearance and death remain under investigation.
