He had round cigarette burn marks on his forearms and top of hand, and homemade tattoos of dots on his right hand and possibly his left, and the word Kiowa on his thumb area on one of his hands.

Joseph Bruce Kaulaity was last contacted on August 1, 2005, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. At the time of his disappearance, he was a 46-year-old Native Kiowa male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing around 200 pounds. Joseph had shoulder-length brown hair, typically worn in a short ponytail, and brown eyes. He also wore black frame glasses. Notable physical characteristics include round cigarette burn marks on his forearms and the top of his hand, homemade tattoos of dots on his right hand (and possibly left hand), and the word “Kiowa” on his thumb area.

Joseph was dropped off at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center by a relative, but he did not show up for the pick-up after his appointment. In 2015, a family friend reported seeing Joseph at a store in Shawnee, Oklahoma; although the friend did not speak to him, they recognized him.
