Joey Laron Jackson, a 12-year-old boy from Duncan, Oklahoma, disappeared on December 14, 1977. His body was discovered on December 28, 1977, on an embankment near railroad tracks just a few blocks from his home. At the time of his disappearance, Joey was was assumed to be a runaway.

The cause of death was determined to be a single stab wound to the abdomen. A knife was discovered approximately four feet from Joey’s body, but due to the conditions following rainfall, usable fingerprints could not be obtained.

The case remains a tragic chapter in Duncan’s history, highlighting the complexities and challenges faced in solving cases involving young victims.
