On July 30, 1984, James Kaywaykla, a 46-year-old Native American man believed to be Apache, was found in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He was discovered by police during a routine patrol. Kaywaykla’s cause of death was a ruptured spleen, which resulted from severe blows to his back. He died en route to the hospital. Additionally, it was noted that he had been robbed.
