On August 6, 1978 the Eileen Virginia Standley was found dead inside her apartment located at 415 W. Haskell Place #B Osage Hills Apartments, where she lived alone. The victim was found partially nude in the bathroom by a friend who was returning from work at 5:10 p.m. The victim died from stab wounds. There were no signs of a struggle but there were signs of forced entry.
