Danny Leo Faught, 26, (pictured here at 17) worked at the newly opened Git-N-Go convenience store in east central Tulsa, Oklahoma, at 1605 S. Memorial on September 23rd, 1974. The young man from Claremore was last seen in the store at 1 am.

Around 215 am customers entered the store and found Danny in the back room. He had been shot once between the eyes and once in the back of the head with a small caliber weapon. Robbery was the motive and less than $150 was taken from the register.

It was called an “execution style slaying” by law enforcement. It was also said that it was similar to an unsolved 1971 Tulsa murder and recent murders in the OKC area. They had suspects at the time of the murder but none have ever been publicly named or charged.

Please call the Tulsa Cold Case Unit at 918.586.1357 with any information on the senseless murder of Danny Leo Faught.
