Around 5 am on April 19th, 2008, a woman living on the 1200 block of N. Boston in Tulsa, Oklahoma heard a knock at her door. A black man in his thirties told her that a man had been shot in front of her house. He then asked her to call 911 and left.

Police arrived to find a man, identified as Charles Fanning, shot in the head in his car. It was parked in a driveway. The passenger’s side door was wide open, his seat belt still on and $80 missing.

24-year-old Charles was recently enrolled in college. His family believes he was lured to the street he was murdered on. He’s described as a trusting and naive young man who was always eager to help.
