Anna Perea was fifty-five years old when she left home on foot to visit friends, her body was discovered the next day. She was found in a tallwater pit located about 12 miles north of Guymon August of 1980.

Authorities believe she was unconscious when her partially nude body was thrown into the water pit. There were two sets of footprints near the water pit, neither of them belonged to Anna. Anna was working as a housekeeper and was well liked by everyone who knew her.
