Althedia Vernon Vaught, a 41-year-old African American female, was last at her residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on January 19, 2009. She stood approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 150 to 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Althedia had informed her family that she was going to bed that evening. However, she unexpectedly left her home around 11:30 PM, taking only her phone and wearing pajamas. Notably, she left the heater and television in her room on, suggesting she had not planned to be away for long.

At the time of her disappearance, Althedia’s daughter was nearing childbirth, an event that she would have been unlikely to miss voluntarily. This detail adds urgency and concern to her case.

On January 24, 2009, five days after her disappearance, Althedia’s vehicle was found in a parking garage at Hillcrest Hospital, located at 1120 S. Utica Avenue in Tulsa. This discovery, combined with ongoing investigation efforts, indicates that foul play may have been involved in Althedia’s disappearance.

The Tulsa Police Department continues to investigate this troubling case and urges anyone with information to come forward. Please contact the Tulsa Police Department at (918) 596-1221 with any information that may assist in locating Althedia Vernon Vaught.
