Tina Marie Williams was found murdered in Oklahoma City on November 30th, 1977. She was seventeen years old.

On the evening of November 29th, Tina had phoned her mother from her place of work, Wanda’s Nursery, telling her mother that she would be late getting home. After that phone call, Tina left work and headed over to her boyfriend’s house, located on SW 5th in Oklahoma City. She remained there until two am, when she left to go home. However, she never made it there.

In the early hours of November 30th, Tina would be found in a rural ditch in south Oklahoma City. She was found less than two hours after she left her boyfriend’s home. Her car was later found abandoned along the roadside on Reno near Portland. Tina had been shot six times, and police were absolutely baffled as to why this happened, and why Tina would seemingly stop her vehicle at all. Though they did believe she was likely forced into another vehicle at the location where her car had been found, they believe her killer shot her twice in their vehicle before dumping her into the ditch she was found in, and then proceeding to shoot her four more times while she was laying in that ditch. She had been shot and killed with a .38 caliber weapon, had not been sexually assaulted, and her wallet was found nearby still containing money.

Eventually witnesses would come forward, placing Tina’s car at the intersection it was found at. They stated they had seen the car around 2:15 am sitting there with the right blinker on. This would lead police to believe Tina might have been having car trouble. At the time the witnesses saw the vehicle they believed that there had been a female inside the car, however when they drove by again a half hour later, the car was still there, but it was empty.

Tina’s murder has gone unsolved.
