Stephan Mitchell Adams was last seen on December 13, 2004. He was twenty-six years old.

At the time of his disappearance, Stephan had been attending college classes at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. One of the last times anyone saw him was at approximately 11:00 am leaving a class. His girlfriend spoke to him on the phone shortly after he was last seen, and Stephan told her he was giving a man a ride to Keyes. Who this man is remains unknown.

At 11:30 am, someone else tried to call Stephan’s phone, but it only rang once before voicemail picked up. All calls that came in after that went straight to voicemail. Between 11:30 am and noon, Stephan visited a convenience store in Cookson. Witnesses observed him appearing upset and agitated. He purchased a soda before lingering outside the store for a few minutes. Stephan then walked over to his truck and left. He appeared to be alone.

This is the last time either Stephan or his truck have been seen. His vehicle is described as a white 1995 GMC short-bed truck with chrome bed rails, a red pinstripe down the side, and an OK Lic# SCQ714. Authorities believe that Stephan’s disappearance might stem from a contentious custody battle between him and his ex-wife over their daughter. However, they have not named any persons of interest.
