28 year old Shirley Kay Clinton was killed inside her Kaw City home on December 22, 1997. That night an intruder came into Shirley’s home that she shared with her two young daughters, he tied each of them up before putting them into their beds and set the house on fire. Shirley’s daughters were able to escape, however, Shirley was not. The man was described as Caucasian, about 50 years old with a slender build. He had short, light-brown curly hair and a brown beard.
