Shamikia Walker was 29 when she was found murdered on January 24, 2011 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Around 9 pm, she was found shot multiple times in the driveway of her home at 328 W. Silverwood Dr. She had just returned from a 7-11 when someone pulled to the curb and called her over to a car, and shot her.

Her cousin, Curtis Wilson, reported that someone in a blue or gray Dodge Charger had also fired shots at him in his front yard while he was trying to get into his car to go to Midwest City. He was on his way there because Shamakia had been killed. Curtis was not injured.

Shamikia had recently been arrested in Midwest City for drug possession and selling/possession of drugs in front of minors, and use of a firearm during a January 13th raid. She was charged in August with cocaine possession with intent to distribute.

Despite her struggles, she was known as a good mother. Tragically, her 5-year-old daughter witnessed her murder. To this day, her killer remains at large.
