Savona Lynn Kidd was found murdered in Oklahoma City on June 25, 1988. She was twenty-seven years old.

Savona was last seen on June 22 getting out of a limo at a south Oklahoma City grocery store called Skaggs Alpha Beta on South May. She was seen about noon, and had presumably been on her way to work. Her obituary states she had been a hairstylist at the time of her murder, however I’ve also seen that she herself was a limo driver at the time, which would explain why she was last seen exiting a limo.

On June 25th, a farmer checking his fenceline found Savona’s body. She had been strangled to death and her body burned. It’s believed she had been killed elsewhere and then was dumped where she was found. Her vehicle would be found on July 2 parked at an apartment complex located at SW 59th and May. Leads in her case have been almost non-existent from the start.

At the time Savona was murdered, she was a wife and a mother of three. She was a daughter and a sister. By now, almost all of her family, including two of her children, have died without knowing who took Savona from them.
