Ra’Mon Anthony Robinson was murdered in Oklahoma City on December 14, 2009. He was twenty-five years old.

On the day he was killed, Ra’Mon had gone to the Britton Courtyard Apartments on West Britton Road in Oklahoma City to pick up his younger brother who had been visiting a friend. Witnesses have stated that Ra’Mon was arguing with two unidentified African American males shortly before he was shot. He was shot as he opened the door to leave his brother’s friend’s apartment. He was shot eight times at close range- dying in his brother’s arms. From there, the police have few leads.

Ra’Mon’s mother has been vocal in saying that she’s lost faith in the system as a result of how her son’s case has been handled. That detectives in charge of her son’s case fail to return phone calls leaving her to feel as if her son is simply another statistic. Ra’Mon was anything but a statistic.

He was due to get married to his fiance in August 2010, and was going to be giving his first sermon in church six days after his murder. A big milestone for a young man with aspirations of becoming a church deacon and eventually a minister.

All his family wants is justice. And to maybe celebrate Christmas again- this year with an answer for who took this bright young man with a promising future.
