Pamela Gail Long, a mother of three, was last seen on the night of May 2nd, 1982 leaving her babysitter’s home around 10 pm. Pamela was from Sapulpa and married to Larry Long. She worked at the Bartlett Collins Glass Co. She was in the area of 800 East Dewey and the 300 block of North Mission that evening.
Her body was discovered by employees of a Gulf Oil lease near Kiefer, Oklahoma around May 3rd but they believed her body was a mannequin due to a prank recently pulled on site where mannequins were left on property. On May 5th, at 930 am, they called the police when they realized the body was not a mannequin. She was identified as Pamela through fingerprints. It’s likely she was killed elsewhere and dumped in the remote area she was discovered. Cause of death was found to be strangulation.
Please call the Creek County Sheriff at 918.224.4964 with any information on the murder of Pamela Gail Long.
