On March 13, 1998, in Oklahoma City, OK, firefighters discovered the bodies of a 52-year-old James Crawley, and a 44-year-old Shelia McCoy, were found inside a burning upholstery shop at 3663 N. Everest Avenue. Both victims were bound and gagged.

James was shot in the head with a shotgun, while Sheila was shot in the back and neck. Both bodies were doused in gasoline and set on fire.

James was a well-respected bail bondsman who owned Crawley Bail Bonds at 718 NE 36th in OKC. He also detailed cars and owned and upholstered furniture in the shop where they were found. Shelia was an employee of the shop.
