Twenty-three year old Taddimeka Nicole McHenry was found murdered just outside of Hydro on August 7, 2004.
At the time of her murder, Taddimeka was engaging in survival sex work. She was last seen alive at approximately 3am at the Flying J Truck Stop in Oklahoma City, later that same day- she would be dead.
While her cause of death hasn’t been publicly released, it’s believed she was stabbed to death. The last time she was seen, Taddimeka was getting into a banana yellow semi-truck that had a tasmanian devil decal below its window. The driver of the semi was said to have been an African American male with a Jamaican accent. Efforts to find this semi and the driver have failed. Taddimeka’s murder was one of several that occured over the course of about two years, all involving sex workers that frequented truck stops along Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and several other states, leading to the creation of the Highway Serial Killing Initiative. To date, no one has been charged in the murder of Taddimeka.
Taddimeka was a beloved daughter and the mother of two young girls when she was killed. She deserves justice, and her loved ones deserve closure.
