Thirty-nine year old Ricky Lynn Gatewood and his wife forty-two year old Debra Kay Gatewood were shot and killed on July 13, 1997 in Ada. The were killed in their home while they slept. Ricky’s vehicle was later found abandoned about fifteen miles from their home.
