Lisa Bollaert, 37, was last seen May 5th, 2009 at a convenience store. She had been staying at a Salvation Army shelter in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lisa had hitchhiked from Syracuse, New York, where she lived, to Oklahoma. She’d been in Oklahoma since late April 2009.

Lisa started showing symptoms of mental illness in 2001. She was hospitalized and diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She had recently been discharged from the military. Lisa had a masters degree and had worked as a counselor for some time. She was a mother and is remembered for her kind heart and generosity.

On May 5th, 2009, Lisa’s body was found in front of a rental house at 79th and S. Elwood wrapped in garbage bags. Her hands and feet had beenbound in tape. She had numerous lacerations throughout her body and had been killed in an “extreme rage”, according to law enforcement.

There is surveillance video of her outside the FBI office in Tulsa from April 30th, 2009 with an unknown male that police are interested in speaking to. He may have important information.
