On January 23, 1981 Eddie Percy Chatman was sitting in his vehicle with his brother in front of 643 E. 54th Street North. Eddie was sitting in the driver’s seat. The suspect’s vehicle pulled up along side Eddie’s vehicle a shot was fired by an occupant of the suspect’s vehicle striking him. Eddie died on the scene.
