Barbara Ferree Thompson, 46, was last seen leaving a party on October 3, 1991 in Chickasha, OK.
In 1996, Gary Quisenberry, long suspected by law enforcement of having something to do with her disappearance, was arrested on charges of fraud, and confessed to the murder of Barbara while in custody. He led the police to where he claimed he buried her in rural Caddo County, but they were unable to locate her remains.
During their search, a witness told them that Gary’s sister, Belinda Lee, was seen cutting up Barbara’s identification cards while stating that she had killed Barbara and buried her “right under their noses.” Armed with this information, police searched a Chickasha home, but did not find Barbara Thompson’s remains. No arrests have been made. Barbara still has not been found.
